This cartoon has "Hope" and "Reality" going in exactly opposite directions. The Doctor wants Obama to reach up and grab "Hope"...it is definitely within his reach! Then, Mr. President, break it off the signpost...be careful, because Hope is a very fragile commodity. Then Sir, tuck it under your arm...but do not lose it...once gone, it is difficult to regain. Continue on your journey in the direction of "Reality" and and "Change"...they appear to be the same road.
