So you're a senior citizen and the government says no health care for you,
what do you do?
Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets. Your are
allowed to shoot 2 senators and 2 representatives. Of Course, this means
you will be sent to prison.
There you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head, and all the health
care you need! New teeth, no problem. Need glasses, great. New hip,
knees, kidney, lungs, heart? All covered.
And who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told
you that you are too old for health care. Plus, because you are a
prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes anymore.
IS THIS A GREAT COUNTRY OR WHAT?!
If government programs could solve our nation's problems,
we would have been living in Utopia 60 years ago.
You don't get anywhere by standing on the sidelines
waiting for somebody else to take action.

One of the problems with the health care debate is the misinformation that is intended to strike "FEAR". It is certainly comical to say that the government will end health care benefits for seniors. To save $$$, cuts in the benefits have been proposed...however it is my understanding that these are mostly in the form of reduction of payments to doctors and hospitals. (Do you think that this group is being under paid?) Other cuts would come in the form of cutting wasted procedures. IS THIS NOT WHAT THE RIGHT IS SEEKING? Less government???
To prove your point, you imply that prisoners have it better than free elderly Americans. WHAT???? Do you think that prisoners should NOT have access to Health Care? Certainly a "civilized society" takes care of it's imprisoned! But your attempt to cast FEAR, it actually a point for REAL health care reform. We would never go back to the Dark Ages and Dungeons...so why can't we move FORWARD to give the working poor and the self employed ... a shot at responsible health care...in other words the same access to health care that the mofo criminals have. Do you have health care insurance...it probably is costing you an arm and a leg and last time I checked these two were both useful (but not required)
